Guiding Principles

Vision

To inspire millions of people cultivate wisdom, compassion, kindness, gratitude and thoughtful action, so they may contribute to the wellbeing of others while fully respecting every person’s freedom, dignity and uniqueness?”

Mission

Spread Harmony exists to help individuals, families, communities and organizations build a more compassionate, ethical, peaceful and sustainable world through practical knowledge and meaningful action.

Core Values

  • Compassion
  • Respect
  • Integrity
  • Curiosity
  • Gratitude
  • Service
  • Wisdom
  • Truth
  • Responsibility
  • Hope

Every person has the ability to improve the lives of others.

  • One kind word.
  • One thoughtful action.
  • One good decision.

Philosophy:

“We do not pursue recognition, rankings, or numerical success as our purpose. We may learn from evidence and feedback to improve our work, but our success is measured by our faithfulness to our principles rather than by statistics.”

We are not here to tell people what to think. We are here to help people think more wisely, act more compassionately, and live more purposefully.

  • We do good because it is good. We focus on doing the right thing because it is the right thing, not because of the reward or recognition that may follow.
  • We share wisdom because it benefits others. We expect nothing in return.
  • We assume good intentions.
  • We seek truth before agreement.
  • We listen before responding.
  • We criticize ideas, not people.
  • We admit mistakes openly.
  • We prefer evidence over opinion.
  • We value kindness without sacrificing honesty.
  • We encourage action over outrage.
  • “Seek understanding before persuasion.”
  • “Truth and kindness are allies, not competitors.”
  • “The smallest act of genuine goodness has value, even when unseen.”
  • “Leave every person with more dignity than you found them.”
  • “When certainty grows, increase your curiosity.”
  • “Knowledge should illuminate, not intimidate.”
  • “Do not measure your worth by applause or obscurity, but by the integrity of your actions.”

Principles

  1. We seek truth with humility.
  2. We respect every person’s inherent dignity.
  3. We welcome people of every culture, nationality, and background.
  4. We promote thoughtful dialogue rather than division.
  5. We encourage practical action over empty rhetoric.
  6. We do not exist to generate personal wealth or influence.
  7. Any financial surplus, should it ever arise, will be directed toward charitable purposes consistent with our mission.
  8. We do not seek recognition, status, or praise. We focus on doing what is right.
  9. We continuously learn and improve while remaining faithful to our values.
  10. We believe that countless small acts of goodness, performed consistently by ordinary people, can transform the world.

The first is the desire to do good anonymously. The second is the desire to create a self-sustaining force for good that no longer depends on a particular individual.
